Barangays That Makes Alcantara Rich

Alcantara was divided into 9 Baranggays. These are the baranggays of Polbalacion, Palanas, Polo, Candabong, Cabil-isan, Lawaan, Salagmaya, Cabadiangan and Manga.

   Poblacion

  Poblacion was called "center of the town" We can find here the:

   "Saint Augustine parish"                                                    "Municipal Hall"

"Alcantara Big Dome"                                                          "Alcantara Plaza"

  Polo

Barangay Polo is rich in rice agriculture. This is the town that supplies the need of grain in Alcantara.

                    Palanas

        Barangay Palanas has wide source of fish farming because this barangay was rich in marine resources.

                        Candabong, Cabil-isan, Cabadiangan, Lawaan, Salagmaya and Manga

They are the mountainous barangays. These barangays are rich in coconut trees that used to make coconut oils, and different kinds of fruits and vegetables that was the number 1 source of occupation of the Alcantarahanons.
